The Spirit Driven Soul

Image
Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.      Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan river. The name Jordan means descending. He was baptized in the open for all to see. It was done in a humble place. At that moment Jesus was saying by his actions that he gave his heart and soul unto God the Father. In the open he freely yielded his soul to the Father. He gave his mind, will and emotions to the Father to use as he pleased. He did it to bring honor to God the Father.       The Father's response to this act was to send the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove that came and rested on Jesus. The Spirit did not just rest on his body, it rested on his entire being including his soul. This was a sign to all that the the Holy Spirit was in Jesus and that he was not acting alone.       At the same time that the Holy Spirit rested on Jesus the voice of the Father was heard by all there saying Thou art my beloved

Happy Birthday!

Image
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.      Praise you the Lord Jesus Christ on this day and forevermore! Happy Birthday to the Lord Jesus! Thank you for giving us the greatest gift that could possibly be given; right relationship with God the Father which includes eternal life.       Your gift to us has made it possible for us to say Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, and good will toward men. Without Him we would be lost forever with no chance of ever overcoming our sins and becoming true sons of God. No hope, none at all for us all.       So on today, his birthday, take time to thank him with praise from your mouth. Give him the highest praise of thanks today. This is the greatest gift we can give unto him! So all you that have breath give him praise and give him thanks!!! THANK YOU JESUS AND BLESS YOUR NAME!!!!!!!   Be blessed and keep moving in him!

Root

Image
Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.      The basic meaning of the word ROOT is: a part from which other things grow and develop. It is the essential part of something. It is the base cause or source of something. When you think in terms of a natural plant the root is the part of the plant that grows downward into the ground to hold the plant in place. It also absorbs and stores what the plant needs to maintain or progress and grow.         For the most part the root is almost always hidden and unnoticed, but without the root there would be no plant. The same is true for those confessing to be children of God. Why? Because it is Jesus Christ who holds them in place and causes them to grow. It is because of his righteousness that we through him are a

How To Remove Darkness

Image
Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.      Those that sleep and those that are dead have one common point that they share. That common point is darkness. The word says that this world and it's systems of control are covered in gross darkness. This darkness can be found in the hearts of those who are bound by the world. The darkness in their hearts is seen in the way they live and behave in the world.       The appearance of darkness can be deceiving. Darkness is not a color like black or white. It is a state of being that can be hidden behind the face of any color. If this is the case how can darkness be removed if it can't be seen? The fact is that true gross darkness is the opposite of true light. Therefore in order to remove gross darkness you first must know the true light.       True light is also a state of being. The only place true light can be found is in the being of Jesus Christ. There

The Way,The Truth And The Life

Image
Matthew 16:15-16 He said unto them, But whom say you that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.      Simon Peter was one of the disciples of Jesus Christ. But before he became a disciple of Jesus he was many things. He was a businessman. He was a faithful husband. He was a brother. He was a son. He was a friend. He was very busy, but his life did not have any meaning. All he had was an existence. All of his responsibilities did not fill the empty place inside his heart. He believed in God, but knew there was more to God. What was missing inside Peter was the Way, the Truth and the Life.       When Peter first saw Jesus he knew something about this man was different. We all who have come to Jesus have a similar story. We were busy involved in an existence we thought was life. We all had something missing inside our hearts. But when we really saw Jesus for the first time we knew he was different and he was different in a good way. W

Times of Transition

Image
Matthew 11:2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?      The basic meaning of the word transition is a change or passing from one to another. The one key factor in every transition is time. There is a set time for every transition to take place. God is the master of the time of transition. He knows the exact moment a change or passing should take place in order for maximum impact to occur for everyone effected by the transition.       Such was the case of the transition of the ministry of John the Baptist to the ministry of Jesus Christ. John was called by God to preach to the nation of Israel. His message was clear and simple. His voice cried out Repent You: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Prepare you the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. The message was for everyone with ears to hear.       His message carried the wave of transition from th

The Father's Life

Image
1John 1:2 For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.      The life of our Father who is in heaven has always existed. He has no beginning and he has no end. This means our heavenly Father's nature is of an eternal nature. This means if you are a child of God you have access to his eternal nature. Why? Because children carry the traits of the parents naturally. Therefore the life that is the Father should begin to manifest in your every day life because you are his child. His characteristics and behavior should be a normal part of your every day life. Your life should be a living witness of his eternal life manifesting in you.       The word manifest means to be clear or obvious to the eye or mind. We know that the way to the Father is through his son Jesus Christ. When we accept the Son we accept the Father and become one with them. There is a transformation of l

The Father's Draw

Image
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.      Have you ever looked up at the night sky and just stared at the moon and stars? Have you ever felt that there was something greater beyond them? Have you ever looked into the blue sky mixed with clouds and wondered is there someone greater looking back? All humans at some point in life must fill a sense of something greater than self. You look up knowing something is out there and you feel a pull. It is like deep down inside, you feel that out there is where you belong! Something or someone is calling you home. What is this feeling? Why do we get it? This feeling is called the draw.       The draw is the call of Father God to us from heaven. It is no different than a parent calling his child from a crowd of people. The child knows the voice of the parent and reacts to their call. The obedient child moves in the direction of the parent. The disobedient child

The Father's Will

Image
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.      Today is the day to stop and think about everything you have gone through as a human living on this planet Earth. The sum total of your life events to this point has not been just a series of random events . These life events are the results of choices made by you and people who are around you. God allowed these choices to be made because of the freewill given to every human to decide to choose good or evil. God uses the results of these choices to mold and shape us according to his plan for our life.       God is so specific in his plan for us that he has taken measures to ensure his will for us comes to pass. The only catch is we must be in agreement with his will. In order to agree with his will we need to know the will of the Father. Jesus made it clear that he was not doing his on thing and that he came

Who's Are You?

Click Intro link before reading:  https://youtu.be/dodyhoXeGGs 1Kings18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt you between two opinions? If the Lord be God, Then follow Him: But if baal ( devil ) then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.      Who's are you? This is the question for the day. The answer to this question can truly only be answered by you. What is contained in your heart is a good indication of what you believe. What you believe determines your actions. How you act determines if you belong to the kingdom of God or the kingdom of the devil.       Why should this be important to you? It is important because everyone wants to know who they are, why they exist and where they are going! The answer to who and why can only come from the one that made you. I am not speaking of your natural mother and father. No, I am speaking of the one who created all things including you and me.       There is only one that was, is, and is to c

The Sevenfold Anointing

Image
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the of the Lord      Anointing in general means to cover with oil or cover with a type of substance. When we think of our Lord Christ Jesus the word anointing takes on other dimension s. The word of God is a transitional witness to the fact that Jesus was fully covered by the seven spirits of God. Each of these spirits fully rested on him at the same time. They were with him always. At any given time he could access them one at a time or all at the same time.       The enemy tries to use seven oppressive spirits against us and our Christ like way of life. It is his answer to counter the power that is released from the seven fold anointing effect that the seven spirits of God has in Jesus Christ. The enemy wants the degenerative effect of sin to open the door for doubt, distraction, diversion, discouragement, d

The Seven

Image
Colossians 2:9-10 For in him dwell all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.      God's desire is for his people to be complete in him through Jesus Christ. This means he wants us to have within us all the necessary spiritual parts that are operating at the greatest possible degree in the earth. God has a plan for our life that will make us totally complete in the areas of relationships, health, and finances. We will be complete in the spirit and in the natural with both working together for kingdom purpose.        This means he has put things in motion to make sure this happens. Satan our enemy knows this and has come up with a strategy that he uses against us all. He wants to totally destroy us in all three of these areas of life. What is his plan to make this happen? His plan is simple. His plan is to use us against ourselves!       He will use the choices we make to kill, steal, humiliate, and dest

Good Courage

Image
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee wherever you go.      God commands us to be strong and of a good courage. Why? Because he knows that we live in a fear driven world. When God tells us to fear not it is not a suggestion. To fear not is a command from God. This world is filled with situations that could cause one to be afraid. But for the most part fear is designed to attack us in three areas of life. Our relationships, health and finances are bombarded by fear on a daily bases.       Satan knows that if he keeps a steady flow of fear coming our way we will naturally break down and stop moving. Why? Because without God your natural mind can only take so much fear before it breaks and shuts down. The enemy wants to paralyze you with fear. He wants you so afraid that you are scared to move. This is why God commands us not to fear.       When God commands something to be, m

This Is The Day!

Image
Colossians 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.      Welcome readers of this blog. Ready or not here He comes! Today is the day that God has chosen for you to get to know him as father and king. It is time to draw near to him that made you for love sake. Most people want a God who can meet their needs whenever they call on him. They don't want a God to love. They definitely don't want a God who's purpose is to set laws and standards to govern their lives.        I believe great things are going to happen this day because we choose to put Him, his Kingdom and his Righteousness first in our lives. I say this because I believe transformation of the heart and soul takes place when we truly seek God for no other rea

Places

Image
Ephesians 2:6 And have raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.      It has been said that in this world there is a place for everyone. That in this world your gifts will make a place or make room for you. If this is true, why is it that so many people in this world feel out of place? Why do so many people struggle with who they are and where do they belong. The answer is that so many people are out side of Jesus Christ!       In this world much time and effort is spent just fighting for a safe place to live. We struggle to obtain the necessary things of life. Then we add more stress to our life by trying to obtain and maintain the unnecessary things thinking obtaining these things will bring us peace. We don't see that the time spent seeking these things is lost time. Even if we obtain the stuff, we loose time the most valuable asset we possess.       Even the physical place we call home is vulnerable to so many things that we have

Key To An Open Heaven.

Image
Matthew 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straight out of the water: and, lo the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  The word open has three basic meanings:       1. Not shut or not shut up.      2. Not secret or hidden.      3. To make functional.  The word heaven describes a place above us that has  three parts:       1. The atmosphere ( sky, clouds etc. )      2. Space. ( Sun, Moon, Stars etc. )      3. The place were God dwells.      The term open heaven refers to the parts of heaven not shut up to us, not secret or hidden from us, and the parts that have been made functional to us. The ideal situation for mankind would be to have full access to all three parts of heaven. Just think of all the questions that could be answered if we just had an open portal into all of heaven.       God in his sup

By Nature of Conversation

Image
Ephesians 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.      According to the scriptures we all have had our conversation with the prince of the power of the air. He is the unbalanced spirit that now works in the children of disobedience. If the truth be told, he is the same spirit that worked in us in the times of our disobedience. Even now at times that same unbalanced spirit is calling us through our flesh to again disobey the voice of God our father and once again become children of wrath. He is trying to reconnect to us by using our flesh nature to access our soul.  He will try to use any part of our mind, will, and emotions as an access point to our soul.      The problem is by nature we want to answer his call. It is natural for us to do the opposite of what God wants. The question is how do we defeat our nature? How do we

The Two Orders of God

Image
Hebrews 8:1-2 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man.       The order of Melchizedek  and the order of Levi are both priestly orders established by God to fulfill his plans and purposes in heaven and in the earth. The purpose of today's blog is to outline some of the different aspects of the two orders. Why is this important? This is important because as children of the most high God, we belong to one and only one of these priestly orders.       An order is a type of priesthood. The major difference between these two types of priesthood is that one is heavenly and the other is a pattern given from heaven to be made  and used by man on earth. Lets first take a quick look at the order of Levi.       This order of priest was set up in the earth in the time of Moses. In fact
