Times of Transition

Matthew 11:2
Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

The basic meaning of the word transition is a change or passing from one to another. The one key factor in every transition is time. There is a set time for every transition to take place. God is the master of the time of transition. He knows the exact moment a change or passing should take place in order for maximum impact to occur for everyone effected by the transition.
Such was the case of the transition of the ministry of John the Baptist to the ministry of Jesus Christ. John was called by God to preach to the nation of Israel. His message was clear and simple. His voice cried out Repent You: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Prepare you the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. The message was for everyone with ears to hear.
His message carried the wave of transition from their present state into the kingdom of heaven. It was by design to open the door of their heart to the kingdom of heaven. He was prepared by God the Father to deliver this one message for a certain period of time. He had been trained by the Holy Spirit of God his whole life just to deliver this message at the right time.
The right time was the time of Jesus Christ. His appearing to John was the sign that transition into the kingdom of heaven had begun. When he saw Jesus on a certain day he declared to all that followed him Behold the Lamb of God which take away the sin of the world! The transition was complete at the time of John's physical death. A change had come and something new had begun all at the same time!
At this time what or who was before, makes way for the who and the what of the now. For example, John declared the coming of Jesus. When Jesus came, John declared it and moved out of the way. The transition was complete. Examples of this can be found through out  history. It is clear that God's message to us is that we as his children are in a constant state of transition!
There is no normal place for us according to world standards. Our position physically is in this world. But this is not our permanent position physically or spiritually. Therefore it is important for us while we are physically here in the earth to allow God to transition us at his desired time. We must overcome our flesh so that it is not in the way at the time of transition. Our flesh is the only thing that can interfere with God's time of transition for us. Why? Because our flesh wants to go in the opposite direction of God's transition for our life. From living in this world one thing is certain, everything is in a state of transition. Change must come to everyone and everything. Times of transition must come to all.
As for us, our transitions in God moves us closer to his glorious presence. But as for today, all has been said to remind you that you are in a time of God transition. You are in the process of going from one place to another. You are not alone because God is with you. Let your flesh die and choose to flow with God during the times of transition. Never forget this saying children of God: You will never know, unless you flow and go! Amen and Amen!
