The Two Orders of God

 Hebrews 8:1-2
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man.

The order of Melchizedek  and the order of Levi are both priestly orders established by God to fulfill his plans and purposes in heaven and in the earth. The purpose of today's blog is to outline some of the different aspects of the two orders. Why is this important? This is important because as children of the most high God, we belong to one and only one of these priestly orders.
An order is a type of priesthood. The major difference between these two types of priesthood is that one is heavenly and the other is a pattern given from heaven to be made  and used by man on earth. Lets first take a quick look at the order of Levi.
This order of priest was set up in the earth in the time of Moses. In fact it was Moses who ordained Aron and his sons as the first priests of this order. Leviticus chapter eight gives the details of this first ordination of the order of Levi. To become a priest after the order of Levi you first had to be born of Levi. The entire tribe of Levi was set  aside by God to minister before Him inside and around the tabernacle. They had the task of taking care of his house on earth. They were also responsible for preparing the sacrifices given by the people as a part of their worship to be offered unto God. They also received a part of what was offered to God by their brothers. The part given to them was for their maintenance. Their entire focus was to minister to God and his earthly house according to the pattern given to them from God by Moses
Now lets look at the order of Melchizedek. The order of Melchizedek was in the earth long before the order of Levi. In fact Genesis chapter 14:17-24 shows that Melchizedek blessed Abram before he had a child. This means the Levis were still inside Abram when he met Melchizedek.
The Bible says that the greater always bless the lesser. Therefore since Melchizedek blessed the order of Levi while they were still in the loins of Abram that makes the Melchizedek order the superior order. Also the bible says in Hebrews chapter 7 that Melchizedek is not only the priest of the most high God, but he is also the king of two kingdoms. He is the king of righteousness and the king of peace. Therefore he is also a king priest.
Under the order of Levi the function of priest could not be done by a king. The function of a king was unlawful for a priest. The two could never be combined. Also it says that Melchizedek was without earthly father or mother. This means he is without descent, having neither beginning of days ( no birth date ) nor end of life ( no day of death ). He is a king and priest continually and forever. This means he belongs to a never ending order. Unlike the order of Levi that came to an end in Christ.
The order of Melchizedek  was to minister to God all the time and anywhere. They also were sent by God to bless his sons and daughters anytime and anywhere. Yes I said they. I say this because I believe that any one who is in Christ Jesus is apart of this Melchizedek order. I believe when we are born again we are born into the order of Melchizedek. We have been chosen not only to be apart of his family, but also priests unto him. Also we are to go were he wants us to go to bless his sons and daughters. The blessing we carry from him is both kingly and priestly. It carries with it the Spirit dimensions to advance his children in their divine destiny.
When Jesus, who is after the order of Melchizedek, sent the twelve to go out before him, he sent them with righteousness and peace. Just like a king, he gave them orders on who to bless and how to bless them. Today in the earth there are many different religious orders even in the body of Christ. They all have many different man made rules. They ordain you to keep you in service to that order more than in service to God. They are a type of order of Levi that is designed to build and keep a house. The people are trained and ordained to maintain the house.
Jesus on the other hand ordained them and sent them to change the world, and maintain the house.  The difference is clear! Children of the most high God are of the order of Melchizedek because they are in Jesus Christ and not a religious organization. I leave you with these questions today. Who are you? Who do you serve? What order do you belong? May the good Lord bless you with the answers if you have the courage to ask. If you need help in finding who you are in Christ reach out to us, we will be happy to assist you as the Holy Spirit leads. Stay blessed and keep moving forward in Jesus name!

The triangle is an example of perfect order. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the only example of the perfect God. The order of Melchizedeck is our example of the perfect order of King Priests in which we as sons of God belong to.
