By Nature of Conversation
Ephesians 2:3
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
According to the scriptures we all have had our conversation with the prince of the power of the air. He is the unbalanced spirit that now works in the children of disobedience. If the truth be told, he is the same spirit that worked in us in the times of our disobedience. Even now at times that same unbalanced spirit is calling us through our flesh to again disobey the voice of God our father and once again become children of wrath. He is trying to reconnect to us by using our flesh nature to access our soul. He will try to use any part of our mind, will, and emotions as an access point to our soul.
The problem is by nature we want to answer his call. It is natural for us to do the opposite of what God wants. The question is how do we defeat our nature? How do we control a heart that is by nature desperately wicked? The answer to both questions is to change our nature and our heart by changing our conversation. When we accept Jesus Christ we become a new creature. We are now able to just simply talk to God. When we spend time with him understanding of our new nature can be gained. Also spending time with him allows the Holy Spirit to teach us God's ways.
Through the scriptures we learn to guard our new heart and mind against the attacks of the enemy. We learn to resist the prince of the power of the air by giving our attention to God and his kingdom plans. Our joy and sense of purpose dose not come from the course of this world. Our joy and purpose is heaven born from the throne room of God himself. This the enemy can never give to us because he dose not know how. That is why when we resist him through our conversations with God he will flee. The devil is already defeated. Our job is not to defeat the devil, our job is to resist him. When we resist him his work is disrupted and destroyed.
The basic meaning of the word conversation is informal or friendly talk used to exchange thoughts. One of the basic meanings of the word nature as it applies to humans is the real quality or character of someone. Normally during informal conversation the true nature of someone is revealed. The true nature of the devil is the opposite of the true nature of God. This is why we are to give no place to the devil and the ways of the world. They are based in lies and deception designed to pull us away from the truth of God. We are only to share our true thoughts with the one and only true God!
Even if you are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit dose not mean you can converse with the devil continuously. Constant worldly conversation will effect your flesh in a negative way. Why? Because you are exchanging thoughts. This is why God says to be in the world but be not of the world! Therefore watch your conversations children of God! Allow the Holy Spirit to help you control your conversations in the world. Give your whole heart to your conversations with God. Don't spend time talking with the devil at all ! Amen!

God has already scheduled talk time with you. Even if he has to place you on the mountain top in the cleft of the rock to get to the true nature of your conversation. The key is to listen more than you talk.
