Relationship by Blood, Water and Spirit

Image
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.      The basic meaning of the word relationship means the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or persons are connected. It is the state of being connected. The way a connection is made will determine how strong and how long the connection will last. It seems like in the world of today long lasting meaningful relationships are a thing of the past. In this fast pace society casual selfish driven relationships seem to be the norm. Many are connected because of the selfishness in their nature. The sin in them connects them to the sin in someone else. The state of being connected for them is because of sin. Sin is the reason and the point of their connection.      The point of true connection with God is through the blood of his son Jesus Christ. Sin separates us from God. Only when the sin debt is

Weapons

Image
ISAIAH 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn.      A weapon is a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage. The purpose of a weapon is to protect for the good or to kill and destroy for the evil. All weapons must be formed or crafted. They all must have a place of origin. Their are all kinds of weapons that have been formed against man since our fall in the garden of Eden. I have come to the conclusion that the most powerful of these weapons are weapons formed in the spirit and unleashed through the power of  the tongue.      A spiritual weapon is so powerful because it is designed to work from inside the soul before working it's way out into the natural body and surrounding area. To put it simply, spiritual weapons affect the soul, the body and any area near the body. Once the mind, will and emotions have been influenced by a spiritual weapon, the natu

The Provocation

Image
Psalm 95:8 Harden not your heart as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: when your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.       The word provocation means action or speech that makes someone annoyed or angry, especially deliberately. It is an action word that means to cause a reaction in someone or from someone. Simply put it is the reaction to someones action.       Relationships are based on the reaction to someones action. All of our relationships with God have been based on the actions of God showing himself to us in certain ways. We then react to his action in the way we choose. We only have two ways to choose from, his way or our way. This is why the word says we are to study and imitate Jesus. Jesus walks in the ways of God. When we choose Jesus, we are choosing to walk in the ways of God leaving our old ways behind.      How do we know that we have given up on our old ways? The answer is simple. God proves us in such a way that i

Anchor of the Soul

Image
Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.      Our soul is our mind, will and emotions. The soul is the place where the spirit and flesh must connect in order to be active in this earth. These three areas of our soul are under constant attack by satan. This is because he is the enemy of all righteousness and those who seek to follow God. It is by our soul that all our choices are made. This is why our enemy bombards us everyday with things designed to cause our soul to be unstable.        An unstable soul has no balance. That soul is up, down and to and fro all the time. The reason for this is because our enemy is moving up, down and to and fro through out the earth. He is an unbalanced spirit. When we choose to take his advice by following the ways of the world, we to become unbalanced. When we forsake the ways of God's kingdom, this leaves us unrighteous and unbalanced.      Our mind is the

MOVE!

Image
Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are his offspring.      Today's blog will be used to compare the movement of two systems, the world system and the kingdom of God.  We are born to move. When we are born again in Christ Jesus we move according to the standard of the kingdom of God which is love. When we are born into this world we move according to the world standard which is fear. We don't move as the rest of the world moves. The world moves based on a fear driven system. It's foundation is selfishness. As children of God our movements are kingdom based. It's foundation is love. We move according to the leading of the Holy Spirit for the love of God and the purpose of kingdom advancement.      Fear is false evidence appearing real. This is what drives the world systems. It effects all natural life in the world. For instance in the wild when one lion roars, herds of different animals b

Ear To Hear ( Pt.7 ) The Faithful And True Witness

Image
Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things say the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.      This is the final blog of the Ear To Hear series. It is fitting that the voice of Christ represented in this last segment is the voice of the faithful true witness and the Amen. True justice only comes from the testimony of a faithful and true witness. To often in this world system the privileged create their own brand of justice that is based on wealth and position not truth. In most cases truth produces freedom. God says the truth will make us free. Injustice is false truth that creates bondage.      Justice in it's basic form deals with fairness. Justice is impartial and just treatment or behavior without favoritism or discrimination. The kingdom of God is based on this kind of behavior. God is no respecter of persons. God is not moved by your social status, he is moved by the condition of your heart.

Ear To Hear ( Pt.6 ) Him That Is Holy And True

Image
Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things say he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and he that shuts, and no man opens.      He is holy. He is true. He holds the key. From this moment on you who are reading this blog, let your ears be forever tuned to these three sounds; the sound of his holiness, the sound of his truth and the sound of his key unlocking the door to your heart. For he is Jesus Christ. He is the only one holy enough, truthful enough and skillful enough to open the door of our hearts. For the door of our hearts must be open in order for the Holy Spirit of God to come inside and create our heart brand new.      The door to your heart can only be opened through your ears. Why? Because our ears is the lock in which the key that Jesus holds fits. It is not a coincidence that in the middle of the word heart you find the word ear. His key locks or unlocks the door to our he

Ear to Hear ( Pt.5 ) The Seven Spirits

Image
Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things says he that have the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars.      In the bible the number seven represents something that is perfect and complete. For example, it took God six days to create the Earth. On the seventh day he rested. Why? Because creation was perfect and complete. It looked good and was good. Creation had everything in place to move forward and fulfill it's God given purpose. It's purpose was to be fruitful and multiply. It was totally full of everything it needed to succeed. What was creation filled with? Creation was filled with the voice of God! For six days creation heard the voice of God.What happened on the seventh day? God stopped speaking and watched for creation's response.      The creative voice of God was different with man. With man God breathed his Spirit first into him before he gave him any other instructions. This was the only time that God had

Ear To Hear ( Pt. 4 ) The Son of God

Image
Revelation 2:18 And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who has his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass.      Today we continue with our mini series on an Ear to Hear. This is blog number five of the eight blog series. I pray that so far you have been blessed. Again the goal is to make us aware of the voices of Christ that comes to bring transformation to our lives. We want to make it clear that how you receive the voice of Jesus Christ in your ear will determine your progression in him and in the kingdom of God. Therefore he adjusts the sound of his voice to represent who we need the most at the time of our interaction with him.  For example if you receive his voice as savior, then the sound of his voice will save you from your sins. Yes the sound of his voice is the same sound of I AM that spoke to Moses in the book of Exodus. Whatever you need, I AM is that and more. The key is whatever you need. Christ is no

Ear To Hear ( Pt.3 Him With The Sharp Sword )

Image
Revelation 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos  write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges.      The apostle John by the Spirit of God described Jesus as the Word of God. With no doubt we all understand just how powerful the word of God can be when applied to our everyday lives. This power of the word has also been compared to a sword. Not a natural sword, but a spiritual one. You see it is the Spirit of God's word that makes it so powerful. For your ear to hear the word of God means the Spirit of the word of God has pierced through your natural ear. It has cut through  every natural barrier between you and God. Like a sword, God's word pierces and cuts it's way to the heart of every matter. Our ears must be linked to the Spirit of God if we are to receive the sharp two edged sword of Christ. This sword represents the fullness of God's word. The Father is the tip, Jesus is one edge and the Holy Spirit is the other edge of this

Ear To Hear (Pt.2 The First and The Last)

Image
Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive.      There are many sounds to be heard in this walk we call life. But it is only the sound of the voice of Jesus Christ that can give us the power to overcome life. For the bible says that it is in Jesus Christ that we live, move, and have our being. Without the sound of his voice we have no life, no motion and no purpose. Therefore we must discipline our ears to hear him at all times.        To discipline our ears means we have to want to hear Christ's voice above all the other voices that try to distract us in the middle of our tests and trials. When we learn of Jesus by studying the word of God, our spirit is exposed to his voice. You hear him when you read or listen to the word because it is being transferred to your soul.       You hear his voice even more when you think about what you heard. This is because the sound of Christ's

Ear To Hear ( Pt.1 He That Holds )

Image
Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.      The whole reason for Christ to come to earth was to reconnect God to man. He came to restore right relationship that had been damaged by the actions of satan. The damage was done by the use of sharp words designed to cut in one direction. The words used by satan were designed to cause separation  been God and his creation man. Like in the garden of Eden satan is still using the ears of man to keep man away from God. The devil knows that faith in anything has to come from hearing and believing something heard. He knows that a lie hid inside some truth can be very effective in driving two parties apart.      There is no doubt what you hear effects your actions. How you receive the one who speaks, plays a big role in the effect what is said has on the ones who hear. For example the words the devil spoke to Eve in t

Ear To Hear ( Intro )

Image
Matthew 11:15 He that has ears to hear, let him hear.      The power to perceive sound is an amazing thing. Do you hear that? Wherever you are right now your ears are detecting sound. It could be many sounds or just one. God has given us the ability to hear many different sounds at one time. But he has also given us the ability to focus our ears to hear one particular sound out of many different sounds. For example, when a child is in a large group of unfamiliar people the child hears many voices. But it is the voice of his parent that is recognizable above all the other voices. The sound of the parent's voice can never be forgotten. Not only do you hear the sound, you also feel the sound of a parent's voice.       When a sound is truly heard it brings out some kind of response from the hearer. Jesus used the ability to choose sound to teach his disciples how to respond to the word of God. Because we have the same ability to choose sound the Holy Spirit uses it to teach us

Teach us to Pray

Image
Luke 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.        God has promised us that if we learn of Jesus we will find rest for our soul. His disciples are examples of men who chose to learn of him. They followed and watched him for three and a half years. They saw him do many miraculous things. They asked him many questions. Why? Because one of his gifts was the gift of teaching. He loved to teach. He is still teaching us today.       One of his disciples asked him to teach them to pray. Why? Because he heard and saw Jesus pray. But that was not his motivation. Some of the men that followed Jesus followed John the Baptist first. John taught his disciples to pray. Why? Because John's purpose was to prepare the way for Christ. He was to help set an atmosphere of prayer that would help people turn in the direction of the Lord.        You must unde
