Ear To Hear ( Pt.6 ) Him That Is Holy And True

Revelation 3:7
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things say he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and he that shuts, and no man opens.

He is holy. He is true. He holds the key. From this moment on you who are reading this blog, let your ears be forever tuned to these three sounds; the sound of his holiness, the sound of his truth and the sound of his key unlocking the door to your heart. For he is Jesus Christ. He is the only one holy enough, truthful enough and skillful enough to open the door of our hearts. For the door of our hearts must be open in order for the Holy Spirit of God to come inside and create our heart brand new.
The door to your heart can only be opened through your ears. Why? Because our ears is the lock in which the key that Jesus holds fits. It is not a coincidence that in the middle of the word heart you find the word ear. His key locks or unlocks the door to our hearts through our ears. The bible makes it clear that all humans have desperately wicked things by nature inside their hearts. So the devil does not come to put wicked things inside a persons heart. He comes to set up situations to cause the wicked things inside a person's heart to come out. Jesus Christ comes with the key to a person's heart to unlock it so that recreation may take place inside the heart. The Holy Spirit comes into the heart to challenge every wicked thing in our heart. When we allow Jesus to place the key in our ears, our ears respond to his words spoken by the Holy Spirit.
Now because our ears respond to the Spirit of God, we have access to the mind of Christ. It is the mind of Christ that filters all the things coming out of our heart. The heart contains good and evil. We need the mind of Christ to contain the evil and access the good. He is holy. Therefore he gives us the power to separate ourselves from the evil that is inside our nature. The Holy Spirit has gained access to our heart through Jesus Christ to train us to be holy. The mind of Christ is true. Therefore he is truth. Through Christ the Holy Spirit trains us in the true nature of God. With Jesus Christ as our Lord, we don't have to be stuck in sin.
The church in Philadelphia knew Jesus Christ as the holy and true one. They knew the sound of his words was the key to their hearts. The received word from Jesus Christ transformed their lives forever. Their very behavior had changed. Philadelphia means Brotherly Love. Jesus Christ had brought genuine transformation to their hearts. They could truly love one another in Christ like fashion. They showed unity and love to one another for real. We know this because of what Jesus said to them about knowing their works.
The review that Jesus gave to the church of Philadelphia should bring encouragement to us all to keep moving forward in Christ. First Jesus points out that this church had little strength. Yet he says that they were able to keep his word and they did not deny his name. This is what true brothers do for one another. They keep their word and they don't deny one another or Christ. This is a true sign of brotherly love. Jesus said that you would know his disciples by their love for one another. The love of Christ found in a transformed heart is the only way for someone to overcome the pressure of this world and not deny the word and name of Christ.
By the sound of his holy and true voice they heard him say that he was opening a door that no man could shut. This door was a door of blessing because of their open display of love for him and each other. Also because they kept the word of his patience, he made it clear that he would keep them from the hour of temptation that would come to try them that dwell in the world. His only instruction was for them to hold fast to what they had, that no man take their crown.
The instruction is the same for us who are today in Christ. God is no respecter of person. If we truly love him and each other, then the same blessings that he spoke on the church of Philadelphia will be spoken on us today. If we know him as holy and true then he will turn the key to our ears and open the door to our heart. Those that have an ear, let them hear what the Spirit of God is saying today. Let it be received into the whole heart. May the sound of his holy and true voice keep you moving forward in HIM. Amen!

Jesus holds the keys that will unlock the door to each heart. He knows whats inside. He opens the door so that we will know truly whats inside our heart. Then by his true holiness we can determine what is good and what is evil. Open your ears to open your heart. May his love keep us all!
