 Hebrews 8:1-2 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man.       The order of Melchizedek  and the order of Levi are both priestly orders established by God to fulfill his plans and purposes in heaven and in the earth. The purpose of today's blog is to outline some of the different aspects of the two orders. Why is this important? This is important because as children of the most high God, we belong to one and only one of these priestly orders.       An order is a type of priesthood. The major difference between these two types of priesthood is that one is heavenly and the other is a pattern given from heaven to be made  and used by man on earth.  Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.      In Genesis 14:18 we are introduced to the priest of the most high God Melchizedek. In this passage of scripture Melchizedek comes to Abram bearing bread,wine and blessings with the  purpose of opening the next level of the Spirit  dimension in Abram's life. This was part of God's plan to fulfill divine destiny in Abram.       This transference and transition took place at a time when the heavens were open to Abram due to his obedience to God. While the Levitical order of priest were yet in the loins of Abram, God sent Melchizedek to bless all the future priests of the order. God blesses first, then he promotes. Ephesians 2:1 And you have he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins      The bible says that HE has quickened you. You being anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. Quickened means to bring life to that which is dead.       Before Christ we were just dead people walking not in life but just having an existence. An existence based on fear. A fear that makes you under or over compensate everything. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire,and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. Often times after an intense fire only the foundation of the structure remains. If the foundation was built up to code, then a new structure can be built upon the original foundation.The foundation is the key to the structure. Therefore the more you know the foundation, the better you are able to build upon it. The bible says that for believers the Lord Jesus Christ is our foundation. Why? Matthew 17:5 While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear you him.      This is the second time in the gospel accounts that a voice from heaven validated Jesus as the beloved Son of God. The bible says that in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.  God himself used his voice to established Jesus as his beloved Son. God also established that he was well pleased with his Son.       On the mount of transfiguration Jesus had Peter, James and John as his witnesses of what happened that day. For them, even above all what they saw, the most important thing that happened was what they heard. Psalm 66:12 Thou has caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and water: but thou brought us out into a wealthy place.      The bible says that God will prove you. If you are a son or daughter of the most high God, alive in the earth today, then let me say to you loud and clear; "IT IS ONLY A TEST"! But know this you are not alone! He is in the middle of the test with you.       He is the one taking you through the fire. It is his hand that you hold! This test you are in he designed just for you.
