FIRE DRILL
1 Corinthians 3:11-13
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire,and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
Often times after an intense fire only the foundation of the structure remains. If the foundation was built up to code, then a new structure can be built upon the original foundation.The foundation is the key to the structure. Therefore the more you know the foundation, the better you are able to build upon it. The bible says that for believers the Lord Jesus Christ is our foundation. Why? Because fire comes to test what we have built in Christ! Children of God fire is coming. If you choose tho build or don't build, fire is still coming! The question is how do we prepare for the fire. In the natural a fire drill helps prepare you to know what to do in case of a fire. You are trained for orderly duties, behavior and exit in case of a fire. The drill teaches and trains the learner by having them do a thing over and over again for practice. In the supernatural, God uses Spiritual fire drills to prepare us for every fiery dart that is thrown in our direction. He allows us to be put in certain situations that calls for a response on our part. If we put our faith in him and the foundation that is Jesus Christ then we overcome the fire. If we put our faith in anyone or anything other than him, then we become a victim of the fire. By learning of Jesus, Gods ways is the foundation we build on. His ways is what we practice over and over again until we give the God response to every spiritual and natural fire. His ways become our natural response to every circumstance. Jesus says learn of me! This is not a suggestion, it is a direction given by our Lord. When we follow his direction we are better prepared for the fire. Even though the fire is hot, we are calm and focused because we know Jesus. You overcome because he is in the fire with you! We gain more and more confidence in Christ after each fire he sees us through. The same voice you heard in the drill is the same voice you will hear in the fire. So tune your ears to hear his voice and not your own. Your will and your way only makes the fire burn hotter! So children of the most high, let your foundation always be Jesus. Listen to his voice in every fire drill so that when the real fire comes you will overcome by his blood and your testimony! Until then keep moving forward in him.Let what ever you have built in Christ be tested in the fire that your reward in him be established as fire proof. I will see you on the other side of the flames in Jesus name Amen and Amen!
