HEAR YOU HIM!

Matthew 17:5
While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear you him.

This is the second time in the gospel accounts that a voice from heaven validated Jesus as the beloved Son of God. The bible says that in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.  God himself used his voice to established Jesus as his beloved Son. God also established that he was well pleased with his Son.
On the mount of transfiguration Jesus had Peter, James and John as his witnesses of what happened that day. For them, even above all what they saw, the most important thing that happened was what they heard. All three heard a voice from the middle of a bright cloud say This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear you him!
This was the first time they supernaturally heard a voice from heaven say Hear You Him with so much power and authority. These words were words of instruction spoken for all generations to hear.
The word hear, means to perceive by the ear. That means to listen to what is said. We have been called to perceive Jesus Christ by the use of our ears. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. God himself has said hear you him. To hear him means to focus on every word he has given to us.
In doing so we are to meditate or think on these words. When we think on these words over time we begin to function by these words! Jesus took those three up to a higher place to be a witness of him and the Father and to change how they  functioned  in the earth. When we listen to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the way we function in the earth changes. We flow in the Spirit instead of being driven by our flesh!
To often we hear the sound, but we don't listen to the words. There is so much noise in this world, that it is hard to hear. Also there is so much information in the world that our eyes and ears can quickly become overloaded.
This is why when you choose to want to get closer to the Father, you must find a quit place away from the noise. Jesus did it, so we can to. In the quit place you learn to listen. When you listen you can obey. When you obey, you can prosper.
I said all this to say if you hear Him you will prosper! This gospel account can be found in Matthew, Mark and Luke. That is three accounts of this key event. A key event changes every thing in your life. Yes this thing is established!
One side note here. The voice of God came to cancel out the voice of Peter who was talking when he should have been listening. You can't talk and listen at the same time. So when we hear the Holy Spirit say SHUSH, it is time to find a quit place inside and outside us to listen to His voice.
How do you know it is him speaking? Because everyone in the family knows the sound of the father's voice. May the good Lord continue to bless us all with His grace, mercy and peace. May He increase our power to listen and obey. Keep moving forward in Jesus name and I will see you down the road, Amen!
