Call Upon Me
JEREMIAH 33:1-3
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying, Thus say the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou know not.
The bible says that the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison. Often, in these days and times, we too feel that we are imprisoned by the ways of this world system. Our health, relationships and finances are under the control of a system set up by satan to destroy all mankind. He wants us to believe that all our needs can be met if we dig deep within ourselves. He wants us to think that WE are the solution to all our problems. Any problem we can not solve, just blame it on someone else.
The bible also says that God the Father is no respecter of persons. This means there is a basic way that he wants to interact with all mankind. God's love is not just for one person. It is available to all who want it. It is inside his love that the word of the Lord is heard. It is he, who fashioned and formed us, for his plan and purpose. It is he that gives us the words to power that plan and purpose. Why? Because all things happen by his word. He forms it to establish it!
This means that God has built into the plan for our life key power words to be released unto us at certain times when we need it the most. For example, Jeremiah was in prison when the word of the Lord came to him twice. I have to believe that anyone that has a true relationship with someone, can call that person when they feel a need. Good times or bad times that person is available to help support you through the cares of life. Jeremiah was doing the work of the Lord and found himself cast into prison for obeying God. How do you encourage someone who is being punished for doing the right thing?
Anytime you are locked away against your will, there is a disturbance in your soul because your physical body has been bound. Your mind, will and emotions are under stress, so answers to simple problems don't come as easy or maybe not at all. This world system presents us all with all kinds of problems. All of the solutions to these problems cannot be found without help from the Lord God because he is the maker of all things and he knows how everything is suppose to work.
There is so much misinformation in the world, that the proper operation of the world is never going to happen until satan is removed from it. Why? With satan in control of the world system, he tries to destroy all people by replacing the truth with a lie. A lie is the complete opposite of what the truth really is. The truth represents that which is actually real. He uses lies to magnify fear, because fear is the perfect cage to keep us all locked up and unfocused on the truth. If we can't focus on the truth, then the lie is easy to believe.
The Lord has always known that the days we exist in now would be troubled times for all people of the earth. Therefore, he has formed his people for such a time as this. If you are a child of God, he has prepared you for these troubled times. How? Through the rebirth of our spirit by receiving Jesus Christ as the Lord of our life, we can now receive the word of God into our hearts to activate the plan of God that has been placed there before time began. We can now call upon the Lord and be heard. We can also call upon the Lord and get answers.
Our focus is now on the Lord and not the cares of this fear driven life. We can now say "Let the same mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me". This is just one of many ways to call upon the Lord. When we ask God for the same mind as Christ, we are asking him to help us think in the same way that Jesus does. We are asking God to help us see things through the eyes of Jesus because Jesus said many times "I only do what I have seen the Father do".
Spending time with God, opens the door for the mind of Christ to connect us to things we could never see without his help to view God in the correct way. We see God the way he wants to be seen and not in the way that the world views God. It is important for us as God's children not to under estimate our Father in heaven. We must remind ourselves that with God all things are possible. We must also remember in his kingdom his will must be done. In order to do his will, we must be able to communicate with God. We must pray and we must listen for his answer.
His answer to our prayer will reveal great and mighty things that we did not know before our relationship with him. It will be the great and mighty things to us that will be some of the very things that will cause the transformation in us that will progress us in the kingdom of heaven on earth.
The key to getting answers from God will be based on your approach to God. The bible says we are to boldly approach God's throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. The bible also says that we are to change and become as little children if we choose to want to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
God's throne of grace is in heaven. We must be sure that we have access to heaven. Therefore if we want to boldly approach his throne of grace to receive mercy for grace, we must come as a little child to even enter the kingdom. Then we have to humble ourselves as a little child comes to their father asking for something they expect to receive with no doubt in their mind that they will get what they are asking for.
A father never gives a little child everything they ask for. The father only gives the child what they need to grow and prosper according to the need at the time. Our Father in heaven only gives us what we need according to the purpose he created us for. He knows what we need to walk in destiny. When we call upon him as a child to a father, he answers us with two things in mind.
First he answers to form us for the need at the time. Then after forming us, he establish us to meet the need. Through his forming and establishing, we get answers by his words to push us into kingdom advancement. In other words we obtain grace to help in time of need. His words cause us to think outside the box that the ways of this world has sealed us in. His truth frees us from the ways of this world.
The truth that saves and progress can only be found in the word of God. He gave it to us to form and establish us in these troubled times. If we receive God by first receiving his Son, then through his Son we will receive his Holy Spirit, who will teach us and train us in the ways of God by the word of God. Once we begin to learn of God, we will with no doubt call upon God. When we call he will answer. He will show you great and mighty things that you know not. These things will cause you to trust him even more.
So I encourage you to receive Jesus Christ in your whole heart, so that through his mind you will do as he did and call on the Father at all times. Don't wait for bad times to call on him. Don't forget to call on him in good times. How you feel has nothing to do with calling on the Lord. He is our Father. He rewards those who diligently seek after him. He is your Father and you can call him anytime.
