The Snake Effect

Image
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea has God said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?      I rarely comment on the devil. I believe time is short and the end of time is very very close at hand. Therefore I believe our time should be spent learning of the Lord Jesus Christ and spreading his gospel.       But today I will make an exception. I do this because it is important to know how our enemy operates. God's word makes it clear that the devil is our enemy. God also makes it clear that the devil used the serpent as a vessel to pervert God's creation. Why? Because the serpent was created to be subtle.       This means the serpent was created by God to be the most difficult creature to analyze or describe. This is why the devil chose this subtle creature to approach the woman in the garden of Eden. The nature of the snake is to approach you in a non-aggressive manner.

My Hand

Image
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.      There is a hand that is above every hand in heaven. There is a hand that is more powerful then any hand in the earth. There is a hand that with one wave can calm the roaring sea. The same hand can point at the sun and it shines no more. This hand can move mountains. This same hand can cause a desert to bloom. This hand has always been and will always be a living hand.       By this hand eternal life is given. By this same hand all sin is removed from mankind. A touch from this hand can set you free. There is power in this hand to heal the broken heart. There is skill in this hand to  create a clean heart. This hand can point to a passage in God's book that will help a lost soul find their way in Him. This same hand can turn on the light in gross darkness. A touch from this hand can heal the sick in body and mind. This hand calms the spirit and bring

The Door

Image
John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.      A door is a movable barrier at the entrance to something. It's purpose is to keep something in or to keep something out. It allows someone in or someone out. A good door can be locked or unlocked to deny or grant access through the door.       Now imagine a house filled with treasure. The treasure is made up of many different kinds of gifts. They have been stored or hidden in the house until the day they are to be given. Now think about the world we live in. It is like an untamed jungle with confusion and disorder everywhere as the normal standard mode of operation.  How long would the gifts remain in the house if the house did not have a secure door?  How about no door at all. The entrance to the house is completely open! We all know the house would be completely empty in a very short period of time.       This is what we were like before our life in Christ.
