Set Your Heart And Soul.

1 Chronicles 22:19
 Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; arise therefore, and build you the sanctuary of the Lord your God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the Lord.


     It is said that the Old Testament is types and shadows of things to come. It is also said that when Jesus came the Old Testament was fulfilled. He showed us how to take the words of the old and walk them out in the new. To walk in the new takes a now word to activate the faith God has placed within us to move by faith. Our heart and soul must be set to faith mode if we want to prepare a place inside us for God to dwell.
     In the Old Testament man wanted to build God a house. In this house there was to be a sanctuary for the Lord to bring the ark of the covenant and a place for his holy vessels. Before any of this building could take place, the people first had to arise. Their position in the earth had to change first! How? By first setting their hearts and souls to seek the Lord their God! 
     By faith they had to choose to set their heart and soul to seek the Lord first. Fast forward to today. God's desire is to make his home inside of us. But in order to do so, he first needs a people who will choose to set their heart and soul to seek him. This means right now you choose in your heart to search for him with your whole heart. This means that right now you choose to focus on him with your whole mind, will, and emotions.
      You see to set means to place. When you set your heart and soul on him, you are placing them high above all things. It is the cares of life that draw us away from God. When our mind, will, and emotions are fixed on  the cares of life, we can't see God. We must seek him first. We must position ourselves to receive from him by seeking and obeying his word. This in turn changes your position in the earth high and above all things. Now from this position you can build inside you the place God wants to dwell. Now is our day for setting! Choose well children of God, and build within you a great house worthy of his name!
