God"s Place

Psalm 132: 1-5
There was a time in the life of David that he swore these words: I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed, I will not give sleep to mine eyes or slumber to mine eyelids, until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

Meditate and Activate the following concept:

Often times people call themselves Christians, but at the same time they have no relationship with Christ outside their local church. When you are in true relationship with someone, you care what they think and how they feel. You have respect unto their desires. You ask them what they want, including where they would like to live.
God has said in his word that he would like to dwell in our hearts. David was saying that he would not rest until there was a place prepared for God inside his heart. This is why he asked God to create in him a new clean heart. He wanted God to create a place or heart inside him where God would want to live. David wanted God's desire to fill his heart.
We should be no different! But know this, our God is all consuming. Therefore if you let him into your heart, he wants the whole heart. You can't reserve a part of it for some other purpose. In exchange for your permission for him to dwell in your whole heart, you will receive the benefits of being in a true relationship with the one and only almighty God.
There is no good thing that he would with hold from you. Eternal life is just the beginning of all those good things! To relate eternally you must be eternal. The eternal heart can only be filled with the love of God. God's love is righteous. The new heart that he creates in us is marked by new actions and attitudes that could only come from a right relationship with God.
So children of God, do what it takes to give him your whole heart. Let righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, be your tools to keep a clean heart for our God to dwell. May his grace, peace and mercy be with us today and forever more to make it all possible! Let these words fill your soul today and keep the door of your heart open for God to come in and make himself at home.

All things were made by God. There is not anything made that he did not create. Trust him to create a new clean heart within us. This is the place he chooses to live.
